Lois loves helping people

Lois loves helping people navigate the real estate process of buying and selling.  Whether you are a seasoned homeowner or a first-time homeowner, Lois will help you understand every aspect of the process.  Over the years, Lois has educated herself on construction and is familiar with the many things that can go wrong with a home.  She is able to assist you in seeing the items in a home that may prove costly to fix.  She will tell you what she sees is wrong with the home you are considering buying.  This helps the buyer know what they are getting into before they finalize the sale.  A home is the largest purchase and investment most people make.  Trust this process with an experienced Realtor and Real Estate Agent who will not push sales on you, but instead help you find the perfect fit for you.

can’t speak highly enough of our experience with Lois Waugh.

Her professionalism, her knowledge of the real estate industry, her honesty and integrity, and her friendly personality are just a few of the things we love about Lois.

My wife and I viewed a home that Lois was the listing agent of, but since our own agent was unable to meet with us immediately, we contacted Lois directly to see the home asap. She rearranged her schedule and we were able to look at the property a few hours later. One of my first impressions of her when we met and visited during that showing was her honesty and her low pressure yet helpful attitude. We were free to look the home over without her trying to sell it to us, she didn’t sugar coat the negatives, and she was very knowledgeable and helpful with the questions we did have. We ended up making an offer on the home, but a more aggressive buyer was chosen.

Over the next week, my wife and I couldn’t stop thinking about how impressed we were with Lois, and ended up asking her if she would represent us moving forward. And so so glad we did. The next home we fell in love with was a bank owned foreclosure with many repairs and remodels needed, and a few major surprises awaiting us in the coming weeks. There were so many hurdles and challenges to conquer for this dream to become a reality, we were told several times along the way by others that the odds of making it through to closing were very low, especially with the conventional financing we were using. The biggest surprise was probably when the title search came back with title issues (mistakes made during initial foreclosure) that we were told would probably take the owning bank several months to get figured out and corrected. But with Lois by our side every step of the way, we miraculously made it through to closing! I was calling Lois every day or 2 with questions or new issues that were arising, and her patience and knowledge were the only reason we are living in our forever home today! She either had my answer in her head, knew who to call to get it dealt with, or dug into the matter and found the solution. She was simply awesome!

After closing on the home, and spending several months renovating and finally moving in, we then had Lois help us sell our old house. Again she was great. We wanted to do some fixing up to the home to make it more appealing, and thankfully we got her advice on where to spend our energy and money. She saved us so much time and dollars by explaining why we should do certain improvements and skip others we were planning. We spent less money preparing the home, had it on the market much quicker than we originally planned, and her knowledge and advice led us to listing the home for a little more than we were planning, and we STILL received and accepted an offer higher than asking price!

Her strong negotiation skills helped us on this transaction, saving us even more work and money, when buyers requested a large amount of repairs after receiving the inspection report. Her advice to led to our very conservative counter offer of a minor purchase price discount and let them do all repairs, which they accepted.

All in all, the experience of selling our home was relatively seamless, thanks to Lois pretty much handling everything.

Thank You, Lois!
